Udupi, Nov 22: Anil Lobo, chairman of MCC bank remarked, “Today’s celebration is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the students, teachers, and staff as we gather to recognise the achievements of young talents and remind ourselves of the importance of education in shaping the future of our society. The skills and knowledge you acquire will be the foundation on which you build your future. To the teachers and staff, I express my sincere appreciation for your commitment to moulding the children of today. May this experience inspire you to reach greater heights and create a positive impact in the world. To the students, remember that we must build our future ourselves. In this modern age, let us choose to love humans and humanity more than technology". He was addressing at the Annual Day celebration of Nirmala English Medium school, Brahmavar.

The formal programme commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp by the invited guests, symbolising the beginning of a journey towards knowledge and enlightenment.

Johnson D’Almeida in his address said that, “Education is not just about marks; it must include discipline. School is a temple, and teachers are equal to God. The talents we are going to witness today will help shape students into great personalities. A teacher has the power to change a student’s life. Parents are the first gurus of every child, and no school can shape a student without the support of parents. Students are our real treasures. Never compare yourself with anyone you are unique. Make your teachers and parents your role models. We call ourselves intelligent, yet many are becoming victims of cybercrimes. No one can double their money overnight, so I request parents and students to be cautious while clicking any links. Thank you all for inviting me.”

Fr John Fernandes, joint secretary, addressed the gathering and said, “Education is not only found in textbooks it is the light that guides our life. Education is not merely about scoring marks, but about discipline and serving others. The academics you study every day are shaping your future. Whatever subject you are studying, study it wholeheartedly. To the parents, your support is the key to a student’s success. Encourage your children to ask questions, to face failure, and to learn from it. Support them in what they wish to become. Teachers are the guiding light, and students must respect them. The lessons they teach will remain with you throughout your life. Thank you all, and my best wishes to every student performing today".

Annual Report highlighting academic progress, student achievements, and various initiatives undertaken during the academic year was addressed.

A felicitation ceremony followed, honouring Johnson D'Almeida and Umesh Poojary for their contributions to society. Proficiency award achievers Samruddhi V Shetty and Samanvitha were also felicitated along with student achievers for excellence in academics and co-curricular activities.

The programme concluded with cultural performances, showcasing the talents of students through dance, drama, and music, reflecting the theme of creativity and excellence.
