Mumbai, Nov 26: Filmmaker Aditya Dhar has unveiled striking behind-the-scenes images of Arjun Rampal from the upcoming spy thriller Dhurandhar, showcasing the actor in one of his most intense avatars to date. Sharing the monochrome glimpses on Rampal’s birthday, Dhar praised the actor’s duality—“pure menace” on screen and a “warm, generous soul” off screen. “Here’s to many more stories together,” he wrote on Instagram.
Arjun Rampal makes a chilling return to the big screen in Dhurandhar, portraying a ruthless ISI officer. The trailer, released on November 25, opens with a gripping torture sequence featuring Rampal, setting the tone for a gritty and high-tension narrative. The film is loosely inspired by the Lyari Gang Wars in Pakistan and the covert involvement of Indian intelligence, with several characters modeled on real-life figures.

Calling it unlike anything he has worked on before, Rampal said, “It’s a well-researched and fantastically made film with every department putting in their best. I hugged Aditya after seeing the incredible outpour of love.”
The actor received warm birthday wishes from his partner Gabriella Demetriades, who wrote, “Thank you for showing us how life is meant to be lived.”
Featuring a powerful ensemble cast including Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, and Sara Arjun, Dhurandhar—a Jio Studios and B62 Studios production—has been written, directed, and produced by Aditya Dhar. The film is set for a global theatrical release on December 5.
