Mumbai, Dec 2: Actor Ranveer Singh made a spirited appearance at the Dhurandhar music launch on Monday, even as he continues to face online backlash over his remarks related to Kantara Chapter 1 during the closing ceremony of IFFI 2025 in Goa.
Ranveer, who is gearing up for the release of Dhurandhar on December 5, had earlier landed in controversy after he recreated the film’s climax sequence on stage and referred to the Daiva as a “female ghost”, drawing sharp criticism from audiences and cultural groups. The incident triggered a heated debate on social media, with many calling his comments insensitive.

However, at the music launch event, the Gully Boy star appeared unfazed as he engaged with fans, posed for photographs, and cheered enthusiastically for the entire team. His trademark energy dominated the evening, standing in contrast to the ongoing controversy.
Lead actress Sara Arjun and rapper-singer Hanumankind also marked their presence at the event. The makers recently unveiled the film’s third soundtrack, Gehra Hua, sung by Arijit Singh and Armaan Khan. The track has already crossed 14 million views on YouTube, adding to the film’s growing buzz.
Directed and written by Uri: The Surgical Strike filmmaker Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar is one of the most anticipated Hindi action thrillers of the year. The film boasts a powerful ensemble cast featuring Ranveer Singh, Sara Arjun, R Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt and Arjun Rampal. The movie is presented by Jio Studios and produced under the B62 Studios banner.
