Chennai, Dec 2: Actress Rashmika Mandanna on Tuesday unveiled the trailer of Mowgli 2025, director Sandeep Raj’s upcoming romantic action entertainer featuring Roshan Kanakala in the lead. The release has sparked strong excitement among fans and cinephiles.
Sharing the trailer on X, Rashmika wrote:
“This looks so so good. I wish you guys the bestest luck – always!! And biggest hugs!! #Mowgli2025.”
She also tagged lead actors Roshan Kanakala, Sakshi Sagar Mhadolkar, and Bandi Saroj Kumar, along with director Sandeep Raj and music composer Kala Bhairava.
The trailer opens with Bandi Saroj Kumar, seen as a police officer, narrating a quirky fable about a king and his seven sons. The humorous exchange quickly sets the tone before shifting to the story’s core—Roshan Kanakala’s character, known to his friend Bunty as Kittu but feared by others as Mowgli.
The two share an intimate understanding of the forest landscape, which becomes central to the narrative.
A film crew soon arrives in the region, bringing with it Jasmine (played by Sakshi Sagar Mhadolkar), a speech- and hearing-impaired background dancer.
Mowgli instantly develops feelings for her. Trouble brews when a predatory man expresses a desire for Jasmine, prompting Mowgli to warn him with a fiery line:
“This isn’t your city where people hold candle marches after everything happens. Here, we light torches straight away.”
The tension escalates after the area’s Sub-Inspector is replaced by a new, ruthless officer—played by Bandi Saroj Kumar—whose dominance sets the stage for a fierce clash. The trailer hints at the emotional and physical ordeals Mowgli must endure to clear his name and protect the woman he loves.
Sources had earlier revealed that the team recently wrapped its third shooting schedule, including a massive 15-day climax sequence filmed in Maredumilli. Roshan Kanakala reportedly performed several high-risk stunts himself, which are expected to be standout moments in the film.
Roshan, who earned acclaim for his debut in Bubble Gum, plays the lead under the direction of Sandeep Raj—best known for the National Award-winning Color Photo. The film is produced by TG Vishwa Prasad and Kriti Prasad under People Media Factory.
The technical crew includes cinematographer Rama Maruthi M, editor Kodati Pawan Kalyan, art director Kiran Mamidi, music composer Kala Bhairava, and action choreographer Nataraj Madigonda. The screenplay is crafted by Rama Maruthi M and Radhakrishna Reddy.
With gripping action, emotional depth, and a promising cast, Mowgli 2025 has already generated high expectations ahead of its release.
