Hyderabad, Dec 4: The team behind Abhishek Nama’s highly anticipated pan-Indian film Nagabandham, starring Virat Karrna, Nabha Natesh and Iswarya Menon, has begun shooting its large-scale climax sequence at Ramanaidu Studios in Hyderabad. According to sources, the finale is among the most ambitious ever attempted in a mythological action drama, with the climax alone costing an estimated Rs 20 crore.

A sprawling, symbolically designed set featuring a massive sacred door—created by production designer Ashok Kumar—forms the heart of the sequence, evoking the grandeur of ancient temple architecture. To elevate the action, the makers have brought on renowned Thai stunt choreographer Kecha Khamphakdee.

The film features a strong supporting cast, including Jagapathi Babu, Jayaprakash, Murali Sharma and B.S. Avinash. Nagabandham delves into the hidden mysteries of India’s ancient Vishnu temples, focusing on the ritual of Nagabandham and drawing inspiration from treasure discoveries at temples such as Padmanabhaswamy and Puri Jagannath. The film blends mythology with a modern narrative to explore the enigmatic traditions meant to protect sacred treasures.

Key crew members include cinematographer Soundar Rajan S., composers Abhe and Junaid Kumar, dialogue writer Kalyan Chakravarthy, editor Santosh Kamireddy and art director Ashok Kumar. Slated for release in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam, the film carries the tagline “The Secret Treasure.”

Written and scripted by Abhishek Nama and produced by Kishore Annapureddy and Nishitha Nagireddy, Nagabandham is rapidly shaping into a grand cinematic adventure.
