Navy’s Kiran Ankush Jadhav wins gold in 10m air rifle at 68th National Shooting Championship

Bhopal, Dec 23: Navy shooter Kiran Ankush Jadhav showcased remarkable consistency to clinch the gold medal in the 10 metre Air Rifle Men final at the 68th National Shooting Championship, held at the MP State Shooting Academy in Bhopal. Jadhav finished with a score of 252.1, narrowly edging out Olympian Arjun Babuta, who took silver with 251.4. Reigning 50m Rifle 3 Positions national champion Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar secured the bronze with 229.8.

In the 10 metre Air Rifle Men Junior final, Gujarat’s Mohammed Murtaza Vania dominated the field to capture gold with 254.3. Abhinav Shaw of West Bengal claimed silver with 251.6, while Karnataka’s Onkar Vikas Waghamare finished third, earning bronze with 230.1.

Meanwhile, in the 10 metre Air Rifle Men Youth final, Onkar Vikas Waghamare translated his strong form into a gold medal performance, scoring 250. He narrowly defeated his Karnataka teammate Naraen Pranav, who took silver, finishing just 0.3 points behind. Shakthivel Senthivel of Tamil Nadu rounded off the podium with bronze at 229.5.

The championship highlighted emerging talent across multiple categories, with close contests providing thrilling moments for shooting enthusiasts.
