Palekar says party exit was personal choice, denies influencing others

Panaji, Jan 6: Former AAP Goa president Amit Palekar has clarified that he did not persuade or encourage anyone to quit the Aam Aadmi Party after his resignation, stressing that individuals who left the party did so on their own accord.

Speaking to reporters, Palekar said his decision to step down from AAP was driven by his intention to join another political party. He acknowledged that the Congress was among the options he explored but emphasised that no decision was taken hastily.

Palekar said he arrived at his final choice only after holding discussions with party workers and well-wishers, adding that their views played an important role in shaping his move. He reiterated that his resignation was a personal decision and should not be seen as influencing the choices of others within the party.
