Mrunal Thakur–Dhanush wedding rumours baseless, say sources

Daijiworld Media Network - Mumbai

Mumbai, Jan 16: Speculation about actors Mrunal Thakur and Dhanush tying the knot in February 2026 set social media abuzz on Friday morning, with fans celebrating the unverified reports. However, sources close to the actors have dismissed the claims as completely false.

A reliable source clarified that there is “no truth” to the wedding rumours, stating that Mrunal is not getting married anytime soon and that the news had gained traction without any basis.

The source also pointed out that the timing of the alleged wedding does not align with Mrunal’s professional commitments. Her film Do Deewane Seher Mein, co-starring Siddhant Chaturvedi, is scheduled for release around the same period, followed by another Telugu film release in March. “With back-to-back releases lined up, a wedding at this time makes little sense,” the source added.

While rumours about Mrunal and Dhanush dating have circulated for some time, neither actor has officially confirmed being in a relationship. The buzz initially began in August 2025, when Mrunal was seen warmly greeting Dhanush at the premiere of her film Son of Sardaar 2. The moment sparked speculation, with netizens claiming the actor had attended the screening especially to support her.

Despite ongoing chatter, sources maintain that the wedding reports are unfounded and that fans will have to wait longer for any official announcement.
