Bengaluru, Jan 19: Popular Kannada actor Meghana Gaandkar, known for her roles in films such as Charminar and Bhoo Manthar, has fulfilled her father’s long-cherished dream by earning a doctorate degree.
Sharing the news on her social media handle, Meghana said that her father had always wished to see her complete a PhD, a dream that has now come true. Despite being active in the film industry, the actor continued her academic journey and pursued higher education alongside her acting career.

After completing her postgraduate studies in English Literature, Meghana went on to undertake doctoral research and has now officially been awarded her PhD degree. She marked the achievement with a sense of pride and joy, celebrating the milestone with her parents.
In her post, Meghana wrote: “Today, my father’s dream has come true. He always wanted me to do a PhD. Yesterday, I officially received my doctorate. My parents were present to witness it. It was a very special moment. Your encouraging wishes have truly overwhelmed me. This journey of many years has finally come to an end.”
