Chennai, Jan 19: Filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj on Monday announced the title and unveiled the first-look poster of director Harish Durairaj’s upcoming film Con City, generating excitement among cinema lovers. The film stars Arjun Das and Malayalam actor Anna Ben in the lead roles.
Sharing the first look on social media, Lokesh expressed his enthusiasm and extended warm wishes to the cast and crew. He praised Arjun Das and welcomed debutant director Harish Durairaj, while also acknowledging the contributions of Anna Ben, Yogi Babu, Vadivukarasi, music composer Sean Roldan and other key members of the team.

According to sources associated with the project, Con City is designed as a feel-good family entertainer that weaves together humour, emotion and everyday middle-class experiences. Alongside the lead pair, the film features Yogi Babu, veteran actor Vadivukarasi and child artiste Akilan in significant roles.
Produced by Power House Pictures, the film marks Harish Durairaj’s first outing as a writer-director. The first-look poster offers a playful glimpse into the characters: Arjun Das appears with an office backpack, Anna Ben carries a handbag, Yogi Babu and Vadivukarasi are seen with travel luggage, while young Akilan sits in a wheelchair holding a shining trophy. The unusual combination hints at a quirky narrative and has sparked curiosity about the storyline.
The makers have completed around 80 per cent of the shoot, with filming taking place across Mangaluru, Chennai and Mumbai. The project is backed by a strong technical team, with Sean Roldan composing the music and Aravind Viswanathan handling cinematography.
Editing duties are being handled by Arul Moses, while Raj Kamal is in charge of production design. Costumes have been designed by Navaa Rambo Rajkumar, and action sequences are choreographed by Action Santhosh.
Con City is planned for a simultaneous release in Tamil and Telugu, aiming to reach a wider audience with its relatable and heartwarming narrative.
