Mumbai, Jan 24: Actress Ankita Lokhande recently treated fans to a warm and emotional glimpse into her Makar Sankranti celebrations, highlighting the special role her mother plays in keeping family traditions alive and filling their home with joy during festivals.
Taking to social media, Ankita shared photos and videos from the celebrations, capturing moments from traditional rituals such as haldi-kumkum and boreloot. Explaining the significance of boreloot, the actress described it as a custom where elders bless children with gifts, sweets, clothes, and affection to mark auspicious beginnings.

Expressing her gratitude, Ankita wrote that her mother never lets any festival pass without turning it into a joyful and meaningful occasion. She credited her upbringing for shaping her love for traditions and promised to carry these rituals forward in her own life.
Calling this year’s celebration particularly memorable, Ankita shared that the festival was made even more special with friends and family coming together for laughter, warmth, and togetherness. She also revealed that her mother ensured little Advait celebrated his first Makar Sankranti and boreloot, making the occasion deeply emotional for the family.

Ankita has often spoken about the close bond she shares with her mother, whom she considers her strongest pillar of support.
