Panaji, Jan 26: Goa has continued to uphold a stable law and order environment, backed by an impressive crime detection record, governor P. Ashok Gajapathi Raju said while addressing the 77th Republic Day celebrations at Bambolim.

The governor highlighted the pivotal role played by the state’s policing and administrative machinery in maintaining public safety and ensuring a peaceful environment across Goa.

He also underscored the creation of the Kushawati district as a landmark administrative reform aimed at promoting decentralised governance. According to him, the new district will bring government services closer to citizens, enhance efficiency, improve service delivery, and focus on the holistic development of the state’s hinterland regions.
