Mumbai, Jan 30: Actor Rupali Ganguly has set social media ablaze with a high-voltage scene from the latest episode of popular television show Anupamaa, where her character unleashes an explosive verbal outburst that has now gone viral.
In the episode, Anupamaa, played by Rupali Ganguly, is seen in a tense confrontation with Rajani, portrayed by Rinku Dhawan. What begins as a heated exchange soon escalates when Rajani questions Anupamaa’s resolve, prompting an intense and dramatic verbal tirade that has grabbed widespread attention.

The scene features Anupamaa delivering a long, emotionally charged monologue, including the now-viral line “ghuma ghumake marungi,” threatening her opponent in vivid and dramatic terms. The powerful dialogue delivery quickly resonated online, with clips circulating widely across X, Instagram and other platforms.
Social media users responded with a flood of memes and humorous reactions, dubbing Rupali “Sunny Deol pro max” and “Sunny Deol ultra pro max,” while others joked that the show has become a “meme factory.” Comments ranged from praise for her dialogue delivery to light-hearted quips such as “50 Shades of Marungi,” “Breathless maarungi,” and “My mother when I got 2 in my maths test.”
Several fans applauded Rupali’s performance, calling it “goosebumps-inducing” and “beyond epic,” while some even suggested a musical remix of the dialogue. However, a section of viewers also criticised the scene, calling the dialogue over-the-top and “cringe.”
Amid the buzz, Rupali Ganguly responded to a fan on social media who asked about the emotional toll of performing such intense scenes. She revealed that the scenes are often shot back-to-back across different units, leaving little time to reflect on exhaustion. Emphasising teamwork, she credited writers, directors, editors, DOPs and assistant directors for supporting the actors through demanding shoots.
Anupamaa, which premiered in 2020, continues to enjoy massive popularity, with Rupali Ganguly’s portrayal of a homemaker’s journey from self-sacrifice to self-realisation striking a strong emotional chord with audiences.
