Panaji, Jan 31: Bharatiya Janata Party national president Nitin Nabin, on his first visit to Goa on Friday, outlined the party’s priorities for the 2027 Assembly elections, stressing unity, strong booth-level organisation and closer engagement with party workers and the public.
Interacting with BJP core committee members in the state, Nabin urged leaders to work collectively to strengthen the organisation and begin preparations for the elections well in advance. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said there was visible enthusiasm among party workers during the visit and noted that the national president had provided clear guidance for the future course of action.

Nabin arrived at Manohar International Airport in Mopa, where he was received by Sawant, BJP Goa unit president Damodar Naik and other senior leaders. He briefly addressed party workers outside the BJP office, thanked them for the warm welcome and refrained from making a detailed speech.
Later, he attended a state-level core committee meeting at the party headquarters, where he spoke for over 30 minutes. The meeting was attended by Sawant, Naik, cabinet ministers and select office-bearers. After the discussions, Nabin visited the Chief Minister’s official residence at Altinho.
Sawant said the national president guided core committee members and MLAs on strengthening the party organisation and maintaining close contact with the people. He added that Nabin would attend several party meetings during his two-day visit to the state.
Senior BJP leader Digambar Kamat said Nabin conveyed a clear message on the importance of unity to further strengthen the party and ensure electoral success.
Sources said the BJP chief also called upon senior leaders to actively contribute to organisational growth and nation-building under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He highlighted the role of party offices as open and inclusive spaces for workers across Goa.
In the evening, Nabin held meetings with National Democratic Alliance partners, including leaders of the Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party and independent MLAs supporting the Sawant-led government.
