Four injured in multi-vehicle crash at Kundaim Junction

Kundaim, Feb 3: Four persons sustained injuries after a multi-vehicle accident occurred at around 8.15 am on Tuesday opposite Jayesh General Store at Manaswada Junction in Kundaim, Ponda.

The mishap involved a Maruti Eco car (GA05J3135), three scooters and a truck. The scooters included a Yamaha Fascino (GA07AA0907), a TVS NTorq (GA05Q6348) and a TVS iQube electric scooter (GA05R4412), while the truck bore registration number GA06T5580.

Those injured were identified as Pooja Chandrakant Naik (27), Pratik Chandrakant Naik (24), and Prakash Ramchandra Talwar (40), all residents of Kundaim, who suffered simple injuries. Another victim, Dhruv Anand Velingkar (21) from Veling, was referred to the Sub-District Hospital in Ponda, where he was treated and later discharged.

Police rushed to the spot and have launched an investigation to ascertain the cause of the accident. Traffic movement at the busy junction was temporarily disrupted following the incident.
