Mumbai, Feb 7: Singer Nick Jonas revealed that his wife Priyanka Chopra plays a significant role in shaping his music, often listening to his songs first and giving honest feedback.

During a conversation with Seth Meyers about his new album ‘Sunday Best’, Nick recalled the early days with the Jonas Brothers, when the trio struggled to find venues and resorted to performing at shopping malls. “Well, we only played malls because we couldn’t get booked to play real shows… Safe to say we had, like, 3 people who showed up for our show,” he said, reminiscing about a mall gig in St Louis.

On Priyanka’s influence, Nick said, “She does, yeah. She’s incredible and really honest, which is important. She’s got a really good ear. She picked ‘Sucker’ long before I thought it would be a hit… She has been right about a lot of things.”

When Seth joked if Nick had panicked telling Priyanka that the song ‘Sucker’ was also about her, Nick laughed, “All my songs are about her.”

The track ‘Sucker’, released after the Jonas Brothers reunited in 2019, became one of their first major hits post-hiatus. The video features the wives of all three brothers — Priyanka Chopra, Danielle Jonas, and Sophie Turner — and has amassed over 417 million views on YouTube.
