Sullia: Car driver flees with petrol worth Rs 2,510 without paying

Sullia, Feb 13: A car driver reportedly fled without paying after refuelling at Nayyar Petrol Pump in Aranthodu on Friday, leaving staff shocked.

According to witnesses, the driver arrived at the petrol pump and filled his vehicle with petrol worth approximately Rs 2,510.

When the staff requested payment, the driver suddenly started the car and sped away, evading everyone present. The startled pump staff immediately alerted the Jalluru Check Post and local police.

Upon receiving the information, personnel from the Jalluru Check Post, forest department staff, local auto drivers, and petrol pump employees tried to intercept the fleeing vehicle. They even blocked the road and signalled the driver to stop, but he managed to evade capture and fled towards Puttur.

No arrests have been reported so far, and authorities have issued an alert in the surrounding areas to track down the driver.
