Goa Youth Congress backs Ami Ponjekar panel, extends support to Surendra Furtado for Panjim mayor

Panaji, Feb 20: The Goa Pradesh Youth Congress Committee has announced its full support to the Ami Ponjekar panel and to Surendra Furtado for the post of Mayor of Panaji.

In a statement issued here, the Youth Congress said it firmly believes that the Ami Ponjekar panel represents progressive leadership, transparency and a people-centric vision for the capital city.

The organisation expressed confidence that under the leadership of Surendra Furtado as Mayor, Panjim would witness responsive governance and inclusive development with priority given to the needs and aspirations of citizens.

The Goa Pradesh Youth Congress further stated that its karyakartas and youth leaders would be actively present on the ground in Panjim to mobilise support for the panel. The cadre will engage with residents across wards to strengthen outreach efforts and communicate the vision of accountable and development-oriented governance.

Calling upon the people of Panjim to extend wholehearted support, the Youth Congress urged citizens to back the Ami Ponjekar panel and Surendra Furtado for Mayor to help build a stronger, cleaner and more vibrant city.
