Mangaluru: Scooter rider dies in jeep-scooter collision at Padavinangadi

Mangaluru, Mar 1:
A 45-year-old scooter rider lost his life after a speeding jeep rammed into his two-wheeler at Padavinangadi on the Airport Road on February 28.

The deceased has been identified as Imtiyaz Hussain (45), a resident of Kuppepadavu. Imtiyaz was working as an online delivery executive.

According to police sources, the mishap occurred when a jeep heading towards Bondel collided with the scooter.

The impact of the collision was so severe that the scooter was completely mangled, and Imtiyaz sustained critical injuries. Although he was rushed to a hospital, he succumbed to his injuries.

The entire horrific incident was captured on a CCTV camera installed at a nearby shop. The footage shows the high-speed impact that led to the fatal crash.

A case has been registered at the Mangaluru North traffic police station, and an investigation is under way.
