Bengaluru, Mar 4: Rocking Star Yash’s much-awaited film Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups has officially been postponed, with the makers announcing the decision through their social media handles, leaving fans both surprised and disappointed.

The film was initially slated for release on March 19, and movie buffs were eagerly anticipating a potential box-office clash with Dhurandhar: The Revenge. However, the latest update has altered those expectations.

In a statement, the team said the film, shot simultaneously in Kannada and English, was envisioned as a global cinematic experience aimed at audiences in India and overseas. After years of dedicated effort, the makers were preparing for a grand worldwide release. However, prevailing uncertainty — particularly in the Middle East — has posed challenges in ensuring a smooth global rollout.

“Considering the interests of our partners and audiences across markets, we have taken the difficult but carefully considered decision to postpone the release,” the statement noted, while thanking fans for their patience and continued support.

As per the revised schedule, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups will now hit theatres worldwide on June 4, 2026, in English and multiple Indian languages.

Industry observers believe the delay could allow the team to mount a stronger promotional campaign and build even greater anticipation ahead of its theatrical debut.

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the pan-Indian action entertainer boasts a star-studded ensemble cast including Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasanth, Tovino Thomas, Akshay Oberoi, Sudev Nair and Amit Tiwari in pivotal roles.

The film’s music has been composed by Ravi Basrur, Tanishk Bagchi and Faheem Abdullah, among others, adding to the high expectations surrounding the project.
