DGCA spokesperson Abdullah Al-Rajhi said firefighting teams and emergency units quickly responded to the incident and implemented established emergency procedures to contain the blaze.
He added that all relevant agencies remain at the site to manage the situation and ensure that airport operations remain secure.

Authorities also confirmed that DGCA President Sheikh Hamoud Mubarak Al-Hamoud Al-Sabah is present at the scene overseeing coordination among emergency and security teams operating at the airport.
