Media Release

Moodbidri, Mar 22: The parishioners of Corpus Christi Church undertook a spiritual pilgrimage to Mount Rosary Ashram, Alangar, as part of their Lenten observances on Sunday, March 22.

The pilgrimage began from the church premises and saw the participation of around 150 faithful. Walking together in prayerful unity, the devotees recited the Rosary throughout the journey, reflecting deeply on their spiritual lives and drawing closer to God.

As an expression of penance and charity during the holy season of Lent, the parishioners made a generous contribution to the Ashram, donating Rs 20,000 in cash along with 35 kg of rice to support its inmates. This act of kindness highlighted their commitment to living out the values of compassion and sharing.

The pilgrimage was conducted under the spiritual guidance of Fr Deepak Noronha. A key highlight of the visit was the solemn observance of the Stations of the Cross held at the rubber plantation area of the Ashram. Each station was marked by deep reflection, prayer, and meditation on the passion of Christ, creating a spiritually enriching atmosphere for all present.

The entire pilgrimage was filled with moments of devotion, introspection, and unity. It served as a meaningful preparation for Easter, strengthening the faith of the parishioners and fostering a deeper sense of community and purpose during the Lenten season.
