Udupi, Mar 25: A 28-year-old married woman has reportedly gone missing along with her 11-year-old daughter following a domestic dispute with her husband over a trivial matter. The incident took place at Punchalakaadu in Belapu village on Friday, March 20.

The missing persons have been identified as Renuka Gangadhar Pujar and her daughter Pratiksha Gangadhar Pujar. They were residing in a rented house near Maria Bakery in Punchalakaadu.

According to the complaint filed by Renuka’s husband, Gangadhar, a minor argument broke out between the couple on the afternoon of March 20 regarding lunch. Following the spat, Gangadhar informed his wife that he was leaving for work at a shop.

When Gangadhar returned home at night after finishing his work, he found the house locked. Upon entering, he discovered that Renuka had left her mobile phone behind and had gone missing along with their daughter.

After failing to locate them despite a search, Gangadhar approached the authorities. A case has been registered at the Shirva police station, and investigations are underway to trace the mother and daughter.
