Kundapur, Mar 28: A 25-year-old scooter rider has been arrested and booked for performing dangerous wheeling stunts in various poses on a moving two-wheeler along the Hemmadi–Kundapur stretch of National Highway 66 in Udupi district.
The accused has been identified as Fouzan Ahmed (25). The incident reportedly occurred on March 20, when he was seen riding without a helmet, violating traffic rules, and engaging in rash and negligent driving while performing wheelies in multiple “circus-like” poses on a public road.




A video of the youth carrying out the reckless stunts went viral on social media, prompting action from the Kundapur Traffic police. Upon reviewing the footage, the police took suo motu cognisance of the violations and registered a case against the rider.
His actions were found to pose a serious threat to human life, as well as to the safety of other road users and property. Based on a complaint filed by traffic police sub-inspector Sudha Prabhu, a case was registered at the Kundapur Traffic police station, following which the accused was traced and taken into custody.
Police said further investigation is under way.
