Mangaluru, Mar 29: St Agnes School Kindergarten marked a proud milestone as its young learners celebrated the completion of their foundational years at the School Hall on March 26.
The ceremony, titled ‘Kinder Grad’, signified their readiness to step into formal schooling while celebrating the formative experiences that shaped their early learning journey. The event brought together parents, teachers and distinguished guests in a graceful celebration of growth, achievement, and promising new beginnings.
The ceremony commenced with a dignified procession, as the young graduates were escorted into the hall alongside the distinguished dignitaries, including the chief guest Dr Raghavendra Holla N, chairman of Swastika National Business School; Sr Dr Maria Roopa AC, joint secretary of St Agnes Institutions; Sr Maria Sarika AC, principal; Sr Meena Fernandes, vice principal; Sr Letitia AC, coordinator; and the PTA vice president Pradeep Misquith, along with their proud parents. The young graduates, proudly clad in their attire, walked in with confidence and joyful anticipation, filling the hall with pride and celebration.























































































The formal inauguration of the programme was marked by a symbolic gesture of welcome. Assistant head girl Aradhana of class 10 A delivered the symbolic welcome, followed by the presentation of a crystal vase to chief guest Dr Raghavendra Holla N by Tr Josna and to Sr Dr Maria Roopa AC by Tr Akshitha, symbolising their inspiring leadership and guidance. The programme then continued with a prayer service, invoking divine blessings upon the young graduates.
The atmosphere was enlivened by a vibrant welcome dance performed by the students, reflecting their enthusiasm and joy. This was followed by the welcome address delivered by Sr Letitia AC, who acknowledged the presence and support of the parents, staff and guests.
As a mark of respect, a potted plant was presented to chief guest Dr Raghavendra Holla N by Tr Shanti, to Sr Dr Maria Roopa AC by Adhrith of UKG B and to PTA vice president Pradeep Misquith by Tr Mary, symbolising growth, respect, and goodwill.
The Graduation Day wishing song added a melodious touch to the celebration, conveying heartfelt sentiments of goodwill. One of the most poignant moments of the day was when the UKG students Disha and Reevan shared personal reflections, reminiscing about their joyful learning experiences, treasured friendships, and the memories they created in kindergarten.
A highlight of the programme was the skit titled “From Tiny Steps to Big Dreams”, which beautifully depicted the growth and aspirations of the children, leaving a lasting impression on the audience. This was followed by parents, Rida D’Souza and Ravi Kumar, sharing their experiences and appreciating the institution’s role in laying a strong educational foundation, the teachers’ attentive and caring approach and the positive and nurturing environment of the school.
The cultural segment continued with a lively fusion dance that showcased the creativity and confidence of the students. The UKG children then presented a thanksgiving song, expressing their gratitude to their teachers and parents for their constant guidance and support.
In his address, chief guest Dr Raghavendra Holla emphasised the pivotal role of early childhood education in shaping a child’s character and lifelong learning, while encouraging parents to be positive role models and guide children to accept both success and failure as integral to growth, helping them face challenges with confidence.
The ceremony reached its pinnacle with the distribution of graduation certificates and mementos, presented by the distinguished chief guest, Dr Raghavendra Holla N, alongside Sr Dr Maria Roopa AC, joint secretary and superior of St Agnes Institutions; Sr Maria Sarika AC, principal; Sr Meena Fernandes, vice principal; and Sr Letitia AC, KG coordinator; and the PTA vice president Pradeep Misquith. This significant moment marked the formal culmination of the kindergarten years and the students’ transition to the next phase of their educational journey.
Principal Sr Maria Sarika AC, in her address, commended the efforts of the students, teachers and parents in making the kindergarten journey meaningful and enriching. She encouraged the young learners to always “Grow, Shine and Smile,” while appreciating the collaborative support of parents and teachers in fostering the holistic development of every child.
The programme concluded with a formal vote of thanks proposed by Tr Mary, acknowledging the contributions of all those who made the event a grand success. The ceremony drew to a close with the school anthem, leaving the audience with a sense of fulfilment and pride.
The Kindergarten Graduation Day reflected the institution’s commitment to holistic education, celebrating not just academic milestones but also the values, confidence, and joy of learning instilled in every child.
