Mangaluru, Apr 9: In the II PUC board examinations held in March 2026, Nandan Nayak and Samanyu S Shetty of Expert PU College, Mangaluru, have emerged as the second toppers in the state in the Science stream, scoring 598 out of 600.
In addition to the state ranks, several students from the college achieved top scores: five students scored 596, three scored 595, five scored 594, five scored 593, six students each scored 592 and 591 respectively, and eight students secured 590 marks.








While Nandan Nayak and Samanyu S Shetty scored 100 out of 100 in four subjects, Amogh B Loka, Aditi I Reddy, Sushan Narayana Billava, Abhishek R Hanamantagoudar, and Deeksha Shenoy secured the third rank in the state with 596 marks. Shrivathsa M, Sumedha M, and Sharangee U S scored 595. Prerana Patil, Muktha S, Samay A S, Neola Crystal Lobo, and Vaibhav N Shetty scored 594 each.
Further in the list of toppers are Samarth Gowda L R, Mohith S, Asmi Shetty, Pranathi S, and Skanda J Ail with 593 marks. Sachi Rajesh Gunda, Palgun T S, Ujwal Shivanand Boodihal, A Vaibhavi Saralaya, Jovila Wenona Rodrigues, and Akshaya Mallya scored 592. Soma Keerthana, Rishika K S, G Sinchana, Tushar Narayana, Jithin Gowda N, and Samruddhi S Amatigoudar secured 591 each. Riya Shashikant Channawar, Hoor Momin, Dheeraj N, Krutika Mallikarjun Patil, Ponnesh A C, Pratheek M R, Daniel Joseph Miranda, and Anand G Nayak scored 590. In total, 40 students from Expert have secured ranks within the first 10 in the state.
Consistent academic excellence A total of 1,569 students appeared for the exam this year. Out of these, 11 students scored above 99%, 77 scored more than 98%, 173 secured more than 97%, and 325 scored more than 96%. Furthermore, 497 students secured more than 95%, 1,134 secured more than 90%, 1,425 secured more than 85%, and 1,515 students scored more than 80%. Every student who appeared for the exam passed with first-class marks.
Another noteworthy achievement is that five students scored 100 out of 100 marks in four subjects, 21 students achieved the feat in three subjects, 83 students in two subjects, and 254 students secured full marks in one subject.
