Mumbai, Apr 9: Filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga has weighed in on the success of Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge, using social media to respond sharply to critics who labelled the film as “propaganda.”

In a strongly worded post on X, the director questioned what he described as selective criticism within the film industry. He argued that individuals who previously built careers on similar themes were now quick to dismiss the film, adding that calling something propaganda has become a convenient label in current times.

Vanga, known for directing Animal, also offered advice to the film’s team, particularly director Aditya Dhar and actor Ranveer Singh, encouraging them to stand firm against criticism and negativity.

Responding to the praise, Dhar expressed appreciation for Vanga’s support, highlighting his conviction and honesty as qualities he deeply respects. He also extended his best wishes for Vanga’s upcoming project.

Meanwhile, Vanga is currently working on his next film Spirit, which will feature Prabhas in the lead role.
