Mumbai, Apr 19: Bollywood actors Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have announced that they are expecting their second child, sharing the joyful news with fans through a joint social media post on Sunday.

The couple, who are among the most celebrated names in the Indian film industry, posted a picture on Instagram featuring their daughter Dua holding a positive pregnancy test kit. The announcement was accompanied by two evil eye emoticons in the caption, symbolising blessings and protection.

The post quickly went viral, drawing widespread congratulations from fans, friends, and members of the film fraternity.

Deepika and Ranveer, who tied the knot on November 14, 2018, at a private ceremony in Lake Como, Italy, have been admired for their on-screen chemistry as well as their off-screen bond. Their wedding included traditional ceremonies reflecting Deepika’s Konkani heritage and Ranveer’s Sindhi background.

The couple’s love story began in 2013 on the sets of Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela. After several years of dating, they reportedly got engaged in 2015 before making their marriage official in 2018.

Deepika and Ranveer welcomed their first child, daughter Dua, on September 8, 2024.

Speaking earlier at the WAVES 2025 summit, Deepika had reflected on motherhood, saying that becoming a parent had significantly reshaped her priorities, shifting her focus from a career-centric life to caring for another human being.

With the latest announcement, the couple continues to receive an outpouring of affection from fans across the country.
