Director Atlee, wife Priya blessed with baby girl

Chennai, Apr 20: Filmmaker Atlee and his wife Priya Atlee have been blessed with a baby girl, marking the arrival of their second child.

The couple, who tied the knot in 2014, had earlier welcomed their son Meer in January 2023. In January this year, they had announced that they were expecting another addition to the family.

Sharing the news on Instagram, Atlee posted an announcement on behalf of their son Meer. The post featured a playful note on a pink background reading, “Yay! I’ve got a baby sister. We, Priya and Atlee, are blessed with a baby girl,” dated April 20, 2026.

Several celebrities extended their wishes to the couple. Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Ananya Panday and Kajal Aggarwal were among those who congratulated them on social media, along with Ramya Pandian and Nisha Aggarwal.

Meanwhile, actress Deepika Padukone also made headlines after announcing her second pregnancy on April 19. She shared a picture featuring her daughter holding a pregnancy test, subtly revealing the news, which was met with congratulatory messages from fans and celebrities alike.

Atlee had previously collaborated with Deepika Padukone in Jawan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, and is set to work with her again in the upcoming film ‘Raaka’, which also features Allu Arjun.
