Beltangady: Over 20 injured as private bus overturns at Charmadi Ghat

Beltangady, Apr 26: More than 20 passengers sustained injuries after a private bus overturned at the fourth curve of Charmadi Ghat on Sunday, April 26.

The bus was travelling from Ujire toward Kottigehara when the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle at the hairpin bend, causing it to flip over.

The victims, primarily residents of Andhra Pradesh and Pavagada in Tumakuru, were returning home after attending a wedding ceremony. Following the accident, fellow commuters and passersby rushed to the aid of the injured.

The victims have been admitted to local hospitals and Wenlock Hospital in Mangaluru for treatment. Beltangady traffic police personnel visited the spot to conduct an inspection and have registered a case.
