Mumbai, May 5: Actor Deepak Dutta has spoken about his experience of working with veteran star Neetu Kapoor in the upcoming film Dadi Ki Shaadi, describing it as both inspiring and unforgettable.

Set to share screen space with Neetu Kapoor, Deepak expressed admiration for the actress, calling her warm, humble, and incredibly grounded despite her legendary status. “We have all grown up watching Neetu ji’s films, so naturally, I was a bit nervous,” he said, recalling how audiences still associate her with her iconic younger self from popular songs like “Ek Main Aur Ek Tu,” “Keh Doon Tumhe,” and “Khullam Khulla Pyaar Karenge.”

He added that his initial nervousness quickly faded due to her approachable nature. “I was in awe of her, but she is incredibly humble and down-to-earth, which made me feel comfortable very quickly. She’s truly a wonderful human being,” he said.

Deepak also shared how he landed the role through an audition with casting director Mukesh Chhabra’s agency. He mentioned that he instantly connected with the character, hinting that it reflects emotions many sons would relate to. “It was truly an honour and a dream come true to work with Neetu Kapoor,” he added.

Reflecting on the filming process, he revealed that the team spent nearly 50 days shooting in Shimla. He praised the production team and credited director Aashish R Mohan for the opportunity, calling him exceptional.
The film also stars Kapil Sharma and marks the Bollywood debut of Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, daughter of Neetu Kapoor and late actor Rishi Kapoor.

Dadi Ki Shaadi is scheduled to release on May 8.
