Beltangady: Two long-absconding theft case accused arrested

Beltangady, May 9: Police have arrested two warrant accused who had been absconding in separate theft cases registered at Dharmasthala police station.

In the first case, the Dharmasthala police arrested Satish alias ‘Scorpio Satish’ (35), who had failed to appear before the Beltangady court in connection with a theft case and had been absconding. The accused, a resident of Nellyadi, was traced and arrested at Nellyadi by a team led by Dharmasthala sub-inspector Samarth and Belthangady sub-inspector Sikandar Pasha. He was later produced before the Beltangady judge and remanded to judicial custody.

Police said Scorpio Satish has multiple cases pending against him, including two cases at Beltangady police station, two at Venur police station, one at Puttur Town police station, and one at Dharmasthala police station, all of which are under trial in court.

In another case, police arrested S N Kishore, who had been absconding for nearly seven years in connection with the theft of money from a car parked at Dharmasthala.

Under the guidance of Beltangady DySP Rohini C K and circle inspector Ravi B S, a team led by Dharmasthala sub-inspector Samarth tracked down and arrested Kishore at H D Kote in Mysuru district. He was produced before the Beltangady court and remanded to judicial custody.
