Three workers rescued after getting trapped inside well in Karkala

Karkala, May 10: Three workers who were engaged in cleaning sludge and mud from a well at the Sri Durgaparameshwari Temple in Kukkundoor, were trapped inside the well on Sunday, May 10 morning.

Upon receiving information at around 10.30 am, personnel from the Karkala Fire and Emergency Services rushed to the spot and launched a rescue operation.

The trapped workers were identified as Rajesh (42), Pavan (29), and Gopal Naik (52).

The fire and rescue team successfully brought all three workers safely out of the well. The workers, who narrowly escaped a major tragedy, were later shifted to a hospital for further treatment.

The rescue operation was carried out under the leadership of fire station officer Albert Monis. Fire service personnel Roopesh, Suresh, Dinesh, Ganesh, Nithyananda, and driver Mujamil also participated in the operation.
