Mumbai, May 13: Veteran actor Jackie Shroff is set to return to the big screen with his upcoming drama The Great Grand Superhero, and his longtime friend and co-star Anil Kapoor has taken to social media to show his support ahead of the release.

Sharing the film’s trailer on Instagram Stories, Kapoor expressed his excitement for the project and called it something special. He wrote that the film carried a unique emotional feel, especially with the addition of child characters, and urged audiences not to miss its theatrical release on 29 May.

Kapoor’s message highlighted his long-standing bond with Shroff, describing their connection as one that evolved from early professional rivalry into deep mutual respect and affection over decades in the film industry.

The two actors have shared screen space in several notable films over the years, including Ram Lakhan, Parinda, 1942: A Love Story, Trimurti, and Shootout at Wadala, among others, forming one of Bollywood’s most recognizable on-screen pairings.

The Great Grand Superhero, directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Manish Saini, features an ensemble cast including Prateik, Bhagyashree Dasani, Sharat Saxena, Mihir Godbole, Durgesh Kumar, Saharsh Shukla, Shivansh Chorge, and Kumar Saurabh.

The film is reportedly centered on a whimsical and emotional narrative that explores the bond between a grandfather and grandson, blending imagination with elements of science fiction, including an alien-themed adventure inspired by a child’s world.

Backed by Zee Studios and Amdavad Films, the movie is scheduled for theatrical release on 29 May.
