Mumbai, May 16: Actress-turned-author and columnist Twinkle Khanna has once again shown that age is no barrier to learning something new, as she recently shared a glimpse of herself taking guitar lessons from her 12-year-old daughter Nitara.

Twinkle posted a candid video of herself practicing guitar chords at home, revealing with humour that her daughter has now taken on the role of teacher — and does not hesitate to judge every wrong note.

In the clip, Twinkle is seen seated in a peaceful green corner of her home, carefully strumming the guitar while trying to perfect the tune.

Sharing the video on social media, she wrote, “Tried learning to play earlier and dropped it when life got too busy. Picked up the guitar again and now I find myself attending classes conducted by my daughter who taught me this song. Also every wrong note gets me a condescending look!”

She further reflected on the changing parent-child dynamic in a light-hearted manner, adding, “One day you teach them how to hold a spoon and next thing you know, they’re explaining basic chords to you with a smirk. What have your kids taught you lately?”

For Twinkle, pursuing new goals and learning experiences has remained a constant throughout her life. In 2022, she enrolled at a prestigious university in London to pursue a Master’s degree in Creative and Life Writing. She completed the programme with distinction in 2024 at the age of 50.

Her husband, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, had proudly spoken about her academic achievement during an episode of the television show Wheel of Fortune, revealing that Twinkle was already considering pursuing a PhD after completing her Master’s degree.

Twinkle Khanna made her Bollywood debut in 1995 with the film Barsaat opposite Bobby Deol. She later appeared in several popular films including Baadshah, International Khiladi, Jab Pyaar Kisise Hota Hai and Mela.

After stepping away from acting, she shifted her focus towards writing, entrepreneurship and interior design.

Twinkle is married to Akshay Kumar, and the couple have two children — son Aarav and daughter Nitara. She is also the daughter of legendary Bollywood stars Rajesh Khanna and Dimple Kapadia.
