Mumbai, May 18: Actress Mouni Roy was spotted at the international terminal of Mumbai airport in the early hours of Monday, appearing to be in a hurry as she made her way inside.

The actress avoided interacting with paparazzi despite repeated requests from photographers to pose for pictures.

Dressed in an all-black outfit, Mouni was seen briskly walking towards the entry gate while carrying a book, mobile phone and passport. She also reportedly switched security check-in lines in an effort to move ahead faster and avoid the crowd.

The actress has recently been in the news following reports regarding her separation from husband Suraj Nambiar.

Speculation surrounding the couple’s relationship began after fans noticed that they had unfollowed each other on Instagram.

A day later, Mouni and Suraj issued a joint statement confirming their separation.

“We note with dismay the unnecessary and intrusive attention into our personal lives by certain quarters of the media. We would like to state that we have decided to part ways and are taking the necessary time to address matters privately and amicably,” the statement said.

Earlier, Mouni had also appealed for privacy and urged media outlets not to spread false narratives regarding their relationship.

Reports suggested that the couple’s long-distance marriage contributed to their separation, with Suraj based in Dubai while Mouni continued her acting commitments in Mumbai.

Mouni Roy and Suraj Nambiar got married on January 27, 2022, in Goa in the presence of close family members and friends.

The couple had reportedly met through mutual friends during New Year celebrations in Dubai in 2019 and dated for nearly three years before tying the knot in ceremonies incorporating Bengali and Malayali traditions.
