Cannes, May 19: Actress and social media influencer Disha Madan once again grabbed attention at the 79th Cannes Film Festival 2026 in France, making a stylish appearance on the prestigious red carpet.
After earning praise last year for wearing a gown created from a 70-year-old saree, Disha returned to Cannes this year in another unique outfit designed using two 80-year-old vintage silk sarees.

The specially designed gown, created by designer Niharika Vivek, drew appreciation for blending traditional Indian aesthetics with contemporary fashion on the global stage.
Disha confidently walked the red carpet and posed for photographers, with videos and pictures from the event quickly circulating on social media platforms.
The actress also shared a video of her Cannes appearance on Instagram, where she was seen gracefully walking the red carpet in the vintage-inspired gown. The clip gained further attention for featuring a Kannada song in the background.
Disha had similarly attracted widespread appreciation during her previous appearance at Cannes when she wore a gown made from an old saree, with the visuals going viral online.
Currently, Disha Madan is part of the television serial Lakshmi Nivasa, where she has become popular for her role as Bhavana. Apart from acting, she is also known as a prominent social media influencer.
Meanwhile, actress Priyanka Upendra has also attended the Cannes Film Festival this year. Her film September-21 was officially selected for screening at the festival, with the screening held on May 15.
