Chennai, May 20: Director Sam Rodrigues has announced that post-production work has officially begun on the upcoming action-comedy Bang Bang, starring Prabhu Deva and Vadivelu in lead roles.

Sharing the update on social media, the director said the team has now moved into the next phase of production and aims to deliver a “powerful and immersive cinematic experience” for audiences.

He also expressed gratitude to producer Kannan Ravi and the entire crew for their dedication, while thanking Prabhu Deva and Vadivelu for their trust and support. Rodrigues further hinted at a high-energy musical score composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

The announcement comes shortly after the makers confirmed the completion of shooting, marking the official wrap of filming for the project. The production house shared celebratory visuals from the set, including a clip of Vadivelu announcing the wrap in his trademark comedic style.

The film has generated strong buzz among fans as it reunites Prabhu Deva and Vadivelu after a long gap of nearly 25 years. The duo has previously delivered several popular comedy entertainers together, including Kadhalan, Mr Romeo, Love Birds, Engal Anna and Manadhai Thirudivittai.

In this film, Prabhu Deva reportedly plays a zombie hunter, while Vadivelu takes on a unique character described as a “Red Indian,” adding to the film’s quirky and adventurous premise.

The project was launched with a formal ceremony in Dubai and is being positioned as a full-fledged action-adventure entertainer blending comedy, fantasy and high-energy sequences.

On the technical front, the film features cinematography by Vignesh Vasu, editing by Antony L Ruben, and action choreography by stunt director Peter Hein.

Produced by Kannan Ravi under KRG Productions, the film also features actor Bablu Prithviraj in a pivotal role, further adding to expectations around this long-awaited reunion project.
