Mumbai, May 21: The makers of Bandar released the official trailer of the upcoming film on Thursday, offering audiences a glimpse into a dark and emotionally charged story led by Bobby Deol.

The trailer arrives days after the teaser generated significant buzz online and has further heightened anticipation around the film. Directed by Anurag Kashyap, the movie appears to blend intense drama, mystery and emotional conflict in the filmmaker’s signature unconventional style.

Marking Bobby Deol’s first collaboration with Anurag Kashyap, the film showcases the actor in a strikingly different avatar following the success of projects such as Animal and The Ba***ds of Bollywood.

The two-and-a-half-minute trailer hints at a troubled love story spiralling into chaos, with Bobby Deol’s character, Sameera Mehra, becoming entangled in false FIRs, police investigations and mounting personal turmoil.

The film also features a strong ensemble cast including Sanya Malhotra, Raj B Shetty, Sapna Pabbi, Saba Azad, Riddhi Sen, Jitendra Joshi, Indrajeet and Nagesh Bhonsle.

The screenplay has been written by Sudip Sharma and Abhishek Banerjee, known for acclaimed projects like Paatal Lok, Kohrra and Udta Punjab.

Produced by Nikhil Dwivedi under the banner of Saffron Magicworks and backed by Zee Studios, the film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on June 5, 2026.

Apart from Bandar, Bobby Deol is also preparing for his upcoming film Alpha along with several other projects currently in the pipeline.

Interestingly, Bandar marks Bobby Deol’s first solo lead film in nearly 17 years. The actor, who made his Bollywood debut with Barsaat alongside Twinkle Khanna, has built a successful career over the years with several notable performances across genres.
