Mumbai, May 24: Actress Sonakshi Sinha, who is receiving positive response for her performance in the streaming film System, says she consciously ensures that her professional roles do not spill over into her personal life.
Speaking during promotions of the courtroom drama in Mumbai alongside co-star Jyothika, Sonakshi said she prefers to switch off completely after pack-up and not carry her character home.
She explained that she is a spontaneous performer who focuses on being fully present on set rather than over-preparing or overthinking. For System, she said her preparation mainly involved observing real courtroom proceedings available online to understand the natural tone and behaviour of lawyers.

According to her, real legal proceedings are far more grounded and less dramatic than how courtroom scenes are often portrayed in mainstream cinema, which helped her keep her character realistic and restrained.
“I don’t need to carry it back home with me,” she said, adding that she is able to switch on and switch off easily after work.
In System, Sonakshi Sinha plays Neha, a young and determined lawyer who is challenged by her father, played by Ashutosh Gowariker, to prove her capability and earn a partnership in his legal firm. Jyothika plays a stenographer in the film.
The courtroom drama is produced by Pammi Baweja, Harman Baweja and Smitha Baliga, and is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
