Mumbai, May 25: Karisma Kapoor is set to take on one of the darkest and most intense roles of her career with the upcoming Brown, as streaming platform ZEE5 unveiled the teaser of the neo-noir psychological crime thriller.

Set against the grim and morally fractured backdrop of Kolkata, the series follows Rita Brown, a troubled yet determined police officer portrayed by Karisma Kapoor.

The teaser presents the actress in a rugged and stripped-down avatar far removed from her long-established glamorous on-screen image. The visuals suggest a dark psychological narrative layered with crime, trauma and emotional conflict.

Known as one of Bollywood’s most enduring stars from the 1990s, Karisma Kapoor has continued to maintain relevance across generations by adapting to evolving storytelling formats. With Brown, the actress ventures deeper into intense OTT-driven storytelling, portraying a psychologically scarred officer investigating disturbing crimes in the city.

The series has been directed by Abhinay Deo, known for crafting stylised thrillers and suspense dramas.
