New Delhi, May 28: Security agencies achieved a major breakthrough after arresting Haobijam Dilip Singh, a key commander of the banned militant outfit Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP), during a joint operation in Delhi.
According to officials, the militant leader, who is primarily linked to insurgent activities in Manipur, had allegedly arrived in the national capital to hold a secret meeting.

The arrest was carried out through a coordinated operation involving the Delhi Police Special Cell, Manipur Police and central intelligence agencies.
Following sustained interrogation, security forces recovered a massive cache of arms and ammunition from Manipur’s Kakching region, foiling what investigators suspect could have been a large-scale violence plot.
During the operation, security personnel seized an AK-56 rifle, an Amogh rifle, an AI rifle and an M4 rifle fitted with a scope.
Several empty magazines belonging to INSAS, AK, SLR, M4 and LMG rifles were also recovered.
Officials said the seized explosives included 51 HE bombs, two para bombs, 11 detonators and four lethod shells.
Nearly 2,000 live rounds of ammunition linked to Amogh, INSAS, AK, .303 and SLR rifles were also recovered during the search operation.
Apart from weapons and explosives, authorities seized bags, plastic covers, a tarpaulin sheet and a Redmi 13C mobile phone containing Airtel and Jio SIM cards.
Investigators are currently analysing the mobile phone and SIM cards to trace communication links and possible operational networks.
The presence of a senior militant commander in Delhi has raised serious security concerns, with agencies probing whether the national capital was also being considered as a potential target.
Officials said the accused is facing more than 12 cases under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
