Mumbai, Jun 3: Television actress Shilpa Shinde has sparked controversy after admitting that a sexual harassment complaint she had filed against Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain producer Sanjay Kohli during a dispute with the show's makers was not based on actual harassment.
The revelation, made during a podcast hosted by Bharti Singh and Harssh Limbachiyaa, triggered strong reactions on social media, with many users criticising the actress for her remarks.
Amid the backlash, actress and Bigg Boss OTT 2 contestant Bebika Dhurve came out in support of Shilpa, stating that television work environments can often be emotionally and mentally exhausting.

Commenting on a promotional clip from the podcast, Bebika said Indian television sets can be highly stressful workplaces and praised Shilpa for speaking openly about her experiences.
She further revealed that her own experiences in the television industry influenced her decision to move away from TV shows.
According to Bebika, reality television provided her with a more positive experience compared to regular television productions.
During the podcast, Shilpa spoke about her exit from the popular sitcom and claimed that she had filed the sexual harassment complaint during a difficult phase in her dispute with the show's producers.
The actress stated that she felt she had limited options at the time and that the complaint ultimately became part of a larger settlement process linked to pending payments and contractual disagreements.
Shilpa also said that she is no longer on bad terms with the makers and that relations between both sides have improved over time.
Her comments have reignited debate on workplace disputes in the entertainment industry, while also drawing criticism from social media users who argued that false allegations can undermine genuine complaints of harassment.
The controversy continues to generate discussion online, with opinions sharply divided over Shilpa's admission and the circumstances surrounding the case.
