The film marks the first collaboration between Sunny Deol, filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi and producer Aamir Khan. The music has been composed by A. R. Rahman, while lyrics have been penned by Javed Akhtar.
Apart from Sunny Deol, Preity Zinta and Karan Deol, the ensemble cast includes Shabana Azmi, Ali Fazal, Abhimanyu Singh, Khhushi Hajare and Kanikka Kapur. The film is expected to explore themes surrounding the Partition era and its human impact.v
