Brahmavar, Jun 11: In a tragic incident, a one-and-a-half-year-old boy died after a coconut fell from a tall tree and struck him on the head near his residence in Heranje, Brahmavar.

The deceased child, identified as Daksh, was the son of Prashanth Poojary and Suchitra Poojary. The couple also has a six-year-old daughter, Diya, who is studying in class 1.

According to family members, the incident occurred at around 8:15 am on Tuesday, June 9. Suchitra was carrying Daksh in her arms while accompanying her daughter to board the school bus. So unfortunate...RIP Daksh. Don't understand why old people used to plant coconut trees around the home though there are so much dangers especially during rainy seasons.
