Mapusa, Jun 11: Customers at a shop in Vagator were left stunned on Tuesday when a fight between two stray cattle on the street took an unexpected turn, with one of the animals crashing through the shop's glass entrance and charging inside.
What began as a routine business day quickly turned chaotic after the stray bovine, apparently losing ground in its confrontation with another animal outside, smashed through the glass door and entered the premises, damaging property and scattering merchandise.

The shop owner and customers watched in disbelief as the animal transformed the establishment into an extension of the ongoing cattle duel.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported despite the dramatic incident and the extensive damage caused to the shop's entrance.
The episode has once again highlighted the growing problem of stray cattle in Vagator, Anjuna and surrounding areas. Residents say the issue becomes more pronounced during the monsoon season, with cattle frequently wandering onto roads, marketplaces and public spaces, posing risks to motorists, pedestrians and businesses.
Locals have urged the village panchayat to move beyond administrative procedures and implement the provisions of the memorandum of understanding already signed with a gaushala for the relocation and management of stray cattle.
Residents warned that while the latest incident ended without casualties, future occurrences could result in serious injuries.
"For now, everyone escaped unharmed. But next time the damage may not be limited to a broken glass door and scattered merchandise," a local resident said.
The unusual incident has sparked renewed calls for authorities to address the stray cattle menace before it leads to a more serious accident.
