Bantwal: NDPS case accused absconding since 2017 arrested

Bantwal, Jun 13: An accused who had been absconding and failing to appear before the court in connection with an NDPS case registered at Bantwal Rural police station has been arrested by the police.

Nazir Ahmed (41), a resident of Kavalapadur in Bantwal, was wanted in Bantwal Rural police station crime no. 309/2017 registered under Sections 8(c) and 27B of the NDPS Act.

On June 12, Bantwal Rural police station personnel, constables Sreekanth and Arun, gathered information regarding the whereabouts of the accused and apprehended him at Vagga.

The accused was subsequently produced before the court. The presiding judge remanded him to judicial custody.
