Alpha’ Trailer unveiled: Hrithik Roshan’s surprise cameo steals the show

Mumbai, Jun 17: The makers of “Alpha”, starring Alia Bhatt, Sharvari and Bobby Deol, released the much-awaited trailer on Wednesday, offering a glimpse into an action-packed world filled with intense combat sequences, powerful dialogues and explosive stunts.

The two-minute trailer opens with Alia Bhatt introducing her character, Sita, with the striking line, “Sita aaj Lanka khud jalane aayi hai,” followed by “Shuru karo agnee pariksha,” setting the tone for a fierce confrontation with Bobby Deol’s menacing character.

Featuring the track “Jamaican (Bam Bam)” by Hugel and SOLTO (FR) as its background score, the trailer showcases a series of adrenaline-filled moments, including hand-to-hand combat, gun battles and high-speed action sequences.

The preview also offers brief appearances by veteran actor Anil Kapoor and Sharvari, although details about Sharvari's role have largely been kept under wraps.

The trailer suggests that Sharvari joins forces with Alia's character in a mission to stop Bobby Deol's ruthless antagonist at any cost.

One of the biggest surprises comes in the closing moments when Hrithik Roshan makes a special appearance as Agent Kabir, a popular character from the YRF Spy Universe, adding another layer of excitement to the film.

Directed by Shiv Rawail, “Alpha” is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on July 3.

Earlier, on June 10, Yash Raj Films had released the film's teaser on social media with the caption: “The first. The fastest. The bravest. #ALPHA.”

Alia Bhatt was last seen in “Jigra” and remains one of Bollywood's leading stars, with acclaimed performances in films such as “Raazi,” “Gangubai Kathiawadi,” “Highway,” “Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani,” and “Dear Zindagi.”

Adding to the intrigue surrounding the project, sources close to the production had earlier revealed that Alia's character would break away from the conventional spy archetype associated with the YRF Spy Universe.

According to sources, she portrays a highly trained assassin rather than a traditional spy.

“Alia Bhatt is definitely playing a killer in Alpha. She is not a conventional hero but an assassin who has been raised and trained to kill. She is an alpha killer,” a source associated with the production had said earlier.

The source further stated that Yash Raj Films head Aditya Chopra envisioned a new kind of protagonist—someone who operates by her own rules and is not defined by conventional notions of heroism.

With an ensemble cast, intense action and the addition of Hrithik Roshan's Agent Kabir, “Alpha” is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated entries in the expanding YRF Spy Universe.
