Mumbai, Jun 20: As Aamir Khan's sports drama Sitaare Zameen Par marked one year since its release on Saturday, director R. S. Prasanna shared a heartfelt message praising the actor and producer for his unwavering support throughout the filmmaking journey.
Taking to social media, Prasanna described Aamir Khan as an exceptional actor, producer and mentor, saying that collaborating with him had been an enriching experience.

Sharing a photograph with the actor, the filmmaker wrote, “An extraordinary five-year journey with one of the most brilliant and loving stars, actors, producers and support systems. Thanks for everything, sir. You are an addiction for sure.”
Directed by Prasanna and written by Divy Nidhi Sharma, Sitaare Zameen Par was produced by Aamir Khan and Aparna Purohit under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions.
The film serves as a spiritual successor to Aamir's acclaimed 2007 drama Taare Zameen Par and is the official Hindi adaptation of the Spanish film Champions.
The story follows Gulshan Arora, a suspended basketball coach portrayed by Aamir Khan, who is assigned community service and tasked with training a team of differently-abled players for a sporting tournament.
The film also stars Genelia Deshmukh in a leading role and introduces ten newcomers — Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra and Simran Mangeshkar.
The technical team includes cinematographer G. Srinivas Reddy, editor Charu Shree Roy and music trio Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy.
Meanwhile, on the personal front, reports suggest that Aamir Khan may soon marry his partner, Gauri Spratt.
According to media reports, the couple is expected to tie the knot on July 5 in a private registered ceremony at home, attended by close family members and a small circle of friends. However, there has been no official confirmation regarding the wedding plans from Aamir Khan or his representatives.
