Mangaluru, Jun 24: The Manel Srinivas Nayak Institute of Management (MSNIM) organised its annual Human Resource (HR) Conclave 2026 on Friday, June 19, at its Bondel campus in the city. The conclave, with the theme ‘Changing Workplace Dynamics & Culture', was aimed at strengthening industry-institute interaction and preparing MBA students for evolving workplace demands. The event brought together HR professionals, industry leaders, faculty members and students.
The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. Prabhoda K S, assistant general manager (HR), Cardolite Specialty Chemicals India LLP, and chairman of the National Institute of Personnel Management (NIPM), Mangaluru chapter, was the chief guest. K V Raghav Kamath, former general manager of Corporation Bank, correspondent of MSNIM and governing council member of the Women’s National Education Society (WNES), presided over the programme. Dr Molly S Chaudhuri, director of MSNIM, was also present on the dais.





Addressing the gathering, Prabhoda K S traced the transformation of workplaces over the past three decades, from conventional office-based work to remote and hybrid models. He observed that Artificial Intelligence is now driving another major shift in work culture, influencing how organisations operate, collaborate and manage talent. “Workplaces have evolved significantly over the years, and AI is accelerating this transformation. Professionals must be prepared to adapt to these changes and continuously upgrade their skills,” he said.
In his presidential remarks, K V Raghav Kamath spoke about the rapid growth of artificial intelligence and its increasing influence across industries. He noted that AI-powered tools are transforming the way people work, communicate, learn and make decisions, and urged students to embrace technological change while remaining adaptable.
A panel discussion on the theme 'New Labour Codes and Designing High-Performance Work without High Burnout Costs' followed the inaugural session. The discussion was moderated by Divyashree Gatti, manager – People Strategy, UnifyCX, and featured Mohan Raj, managing director, Bright Globe Pvt Ltd; Vishmitha Bangera, Site HR partner, BASF India Coatings Private Limited; and Nithya Chethan, legal compliance, NITTE Group.
The panellists discussed changing workplace expectations, the growing importance of flexibility, and the need for accountability, performance and continuous learning. They encouraged young professionals to remain adaptable and highlighted the importance of understanding new labour codes and compliance requirements in the modern workplace.
Dr Shilpi Saha, associate professor and programme coordinator, welcomed the gathering. Nanditha Sunil, assistant professor, introduced the chief guest, while Manasa, assistant professor, introduced the president of the programme. Arpita Devadiga, assistant professor, introduced the panellists. Divya Achar, assistant professor, proposed the vote of thanks, and Sathvika Shetty, assistant professor (Senior scale), compered the programme.
